1. Visit the Vahan website’s homepage. 

2. Click on the ‘Know Your Vehicle Details’ tab at the top of the page.

3. Log in using your phone number and OTP. If you do not already have an account, create one using the registration option in the same window.

4. Enter your vehicle registration number.

5. Input the captcha and click on ‘Vahan Search’. The screen will display your vehicle's registration certificate (RC) status.

You will find the insurance status and other details under ‘Insurance Details’, including the insurance company, policy number, and validity.

How to Check Insurance Status on mParivahan App?

Follow the steps below to check your status on the mParivahan App:

1. Open the mParivahan app on your mobile phone. You can download the app from the Play Store or App Store.

2. Choose the desired language and click ‘Continue’.

3. On clicking the ‘Continue’ button, a dashboard will open, giving you two options to check the vehicle insurance status. 

4. Input the vehicle registration number or driving license and click ‘Search’.

5. Now, sign in using your registered mobile number and continue.

1. Visit the official website of your State’s transport office.

4. Click on ‘VAHAN Citizen Services’.

5. Select the details of your RTO where your vehicle is registered.

7. Enter your vehicle’s registration number, chassis number, and engine number.

8. Fill in the captcha and click on ‘Submit’.

2. Input all the required data.

3. Click on ‘Submit’ to receive the insurance details.
